Gerald D. Heilner, II, bass trombone
Jerry earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance and Pedagogy from Millersville State College. He has studied trombone with William A. Grove, Dr. Sy Brandon, and Hal Janks, bass trombone of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (retired). Jerry retired from the Hess Agency in 2026 and as bass trombonist of the York Symphony Orchestra after 27 years of service. He currently performs with the Lancaster Brass Quintet and the Buzz Jones Big Band. He has also performed with Opera Lancaster and other local groups on a freelance basis. Jerry lives in Elizabethtown with his wife Lisa.
